Angela is an airline transport rated pilot with over 8500 very diverse hours. She began flying lessons in 1992, driven by a passion for adventure and exploration and now holds both Canadian and American licenses.
Throughout her career Angela has flown in her home country Canada, the Arctic, Myanmar, South Sudan, Saudi Arabia, the Maldives, Chile, Australia and the USA. Her aviation pursuits are as varied as the countries she’s flown in and consist of Canadian bush flying, airline ownership, aerial marine surveillance and pollution patrol, humanitarian flying, tourism, VIP transport and aerial firefighting.
Angela, has been active in mentoring and supporting other women in aviation. This includes several speaking engagements and advocating for the rights of women pilots. In 2003, while flying in the Maldives, she effected a change to the regulations to allow women to fly while pregnant and became the first to do so while carrying the first of her two sons.
Angela is a lifelong bush pilot. During her career she has connected the link between “flying and forests” with all living ecosystems. Angela is grateful for the opportunity to share her love of flying in wild places.
